Resort Experience Hot Trend
According to Trend Forecaster Ellen Gefen, over-the-top opulence is coming to high-end design at the High Point Furniture Market in late March along with European, Moroccan, Spanish and Italian influences at all price ranges. Evident will be finely crafted details and by-gone era, Hollywood-inspired luxury. Traditional looks will be more clean lined, yet still sophisticated.classic with shapes and new finishes having a fresh influence. Some manufacturers will be using higher sheens on distressed pieces or lacquer finishes. Blue and brown combinations will still be popular. Colors in general will be less intense but richer and more glamorous.
In a trade article for the High Point Furniture Market coming in late March, Richard Frinier states that the newest trend emerging in home décor is creating a feeling in the home of an ultra-luxe spa and resort experience particularly in outdoor spaces. Manufacturers in response to this trend are creating new spa and/or resort looks in indoor/outdoor furniture, performance textiles (those that can resist the weather outside), special lighting and accessories.
According to Lori Lester in an article in Home Accents Today, a respected trade publication for the home decor industry, the latest design trend in tabletop accessories pays homage to all kinds of birds from peacocks to backyard birds. Even birds' nests with eggs in them are accenting tables in centerpiece designs. Birds are being used to accent napkin rings. The birds perch on both classic and contemporary perches and often have a very playful look. *Article from Creative Inspirations Gallery website. Fine Print Collection Utilizes Wind Power In a recent development with the City of Fort Collins Utility Department, Fine Print now obtains its electricity from a wind farm north of town. The Wind Power Program started in 1998, when Fort Collins Utilities became the first utility in Colorado and among the first in the nation to deliver wind energy to customers. Due to strong customer demand, the program was expanded in 1999 and 2000. |

Wind energy flows into the electric grid and displaces other resources (typically fossil-fueled power plants) serving the local area. Electricity simply follows the path of least resistance to each home or business. When a customer signs up for the Wind Power Program, Fort Collins Utilities ensures that wind energy is delivered onto the grid for that customer, displacing energy that would have been produced at a conventional power plant.
We are proud to be a part of actively seeking cleaner resources for obtaining power.
